About

Meet James Marchant

For more than 20 years, James Marchant has worked across carpentry, construction and property improvement, helping clients create homes and spaces that work beautifully for the way they live.

James combines hands-on craftsmanship with an HND in Project Management, allowing him to understand both the detail of the work and the wider planning needed to deliver a successful project.

From designing and building bespoke furniture to coordinating extensions and larger property improvements, James approaches every project with the same standards of care, honesty and attention to detail.

James recognises that a building project represents more than a financial transaction. Clients may have planned, saved and made significant decisions before inviting a tradesperson into their home. The process can also affect daily routines, family life and a person's sense of comfort in their own space.

That trust is never taken lightly.

For larger or multidisciplinary projects, James works alongside a trusted network of independent associate tradespeople. Each associate is selected because of the skills, reliability and professional standards brought to the project.

Purpose Builds remains personal, relationship-led and committed to completing work thoughtfully and properly.
